UAAP Season 76: For Shame, Sixth Man, For Shame

So Kiefer Ravena played after all. But the Ateneo Blue Eagles ace was obviously hobbled by his ankle injury, and finished with just 2 points (1/6 FG, 0/5 3FG) and 2 turnovers in 8 minutes (all in the first half), the least playing time he has had in a game in his three-years with the Blue Eagles, in their 54–64 opening game loss to NU.

Then hours after the game he tweeted:

So Blue Eagles supporters are apparently the new Miami Heat fans (although in this case Ateneo's fourth-quarter rally fell short). What, the commute home was that difficult they couldn't stay just a few more minutes for "A Song for Mary" and to applaud the team's (losing) effort? Tsk, tsk.

Let's excuse the fans who aren't Ateneo students or alumni but not those who are. "Win or lose," that (sometimes derided) song lyric goes, after all. And it's when the team is down that they need the pick-me-up from the Blue side of the arena more.
