UAAP Season 75 Jerseyvaluation: ADMU Blue Eagles

Back in May, Kiefer Ravena tweeted a photo of him, Greg Slaughter, and Nico Salva wearing what he claimed was the new Ateneo jersey. It turns out that was indeed the uniform the Blue Eagles would wear in UAAP Season 75, only without the logos of the team's other sponsors.

Ateneo and Nike are actually in the last year of a three-season deal for the latter to provide sporting gear to the former's athletes. It has largely been a good match, especially since the Blue Eagles, ADMU's signature team that receives the most media mileage, have won the last two UAAP Men's basketball titles wearing Swoosh-marked jerseys. But hey, what else can be expected from the pairing of a university whose mascot is a Blue Eagle and a company named after a Greek goddess also known as the Winged Goddess of Victory?

Ateneo has minimalist-looking unis just like last year. But this time around, the Blue Eagles don't look like they're wearing mismatched shorts and tank tops. And if that color bar at back of the tank top seems familiar, it's because Ateneo's Nike-made 2010 preseason jerseys (not to mention Team USA's 2012 Olympics basketball uniforms) also had them.

I have to dock Nike, though, for using the same design template for both the Ateneo and FEU Tamaraws jersey sets. That wasn't cool.
