UAAP Season 72 Jerseyvaluation: UST Growling Tigers

UST has paraded ugly uniforms year after year after year, and this season is no different. The team went the literal route anew and brought back that tacky tiger head and print. The result: a jersey that looks craptastic when viewed from the front, side, and back.

While the Growling Tigers won the Season 69 championship wearing similar jerseys, they would be better served if next year they ditch Accel as their uniform provider. They should partner with adidas, Nike, or even Anta like the top teams in the league.

By the way, is it just me or does the Growling Tigers logo look awfully similar to that of the Wests Tigers from Australia's National Rugby League?

  1. It irritates me that the Tigers' logo looks similar to the Wests Tigers. I've been trying to find out who copied who. No one else seems to mind though, which is all the more irritating.

    1. Thanks for taking the time to comment.

It wasn't the NRL team that did the copying, that's for sure. And the UST side no longer uses that logo; I think it was only a one-season thing, especially after people pointed out the similarity.
