Michael V. Is A God

Imagine the Eraserheads' "Alapaap," but replace the lyrics with this:
"Hala Pack-Up"
By Eraseyourheads
Lyrics by Bitoy

may sikat na banda
na ngayo’y
magsasama
kaya nga halika
sa harap
o ano?
tara

kailangan una sa pinto
baka maubusan ako
walang tiket na makuha
'kala ko libre
‘di pala

oh sabog aking mata
sa mga nakikita
andami-daming video
atsaka may fireworks pa
sobrang lakas
ng tama

di kaya nailang
ang grupo’t
parang nahiya
o di kaya
mas sanay silang
kasama ay iba
kahit ayaw mag-group hug
di naman yun
problema
di pa nga
nakakarami ng mga
kinakanta
may naganap
na drama

pa-pa-pack up ba?

ha? malala ba?

hu hu hu

biglang natigil
ang tugtog
at ang tagal nakatayo
ilang minuto
ang lumipas
hindi pa rin
nagra-rock-rakan
natuyo aking mata
'di ko na s'ya nakita
ako’y humirit pa at
mga fans nabitin na

gusto ko pa

wala na
The accompanying video, a spoof of the abbreviated Eraserheads reunion concert last August 30, aired on the September 19 episode of the GMA 7 television program, "Bubble Gang." Hours later the video was already on YouTube.

Unfortunately, in the days after the airing a few people thought it was disrespectful to the 'Heads, especially to lead vocalist Ely Buendia, whose collapse backstage during an intermission led to the "packing up" of the concert.

I disagree. The spoof was not disrespectful at all. The lyrics were but a narrative of the events before, during, and after the concert.

Besides, we all know what the highest form of flattery is.
