At times like this I wish I wrote better. Sure, I'm decent at it, but I know I'm not a good writer. I can't write crisp, biting commentary. I'm not witty. I'm not even funny.
I want to write like Dennis Miller (or like his writers) did in his Rants series. Because this is a gimme, a 3-and-0 not-so-fastball down the middle of the plate.
Gifted writers will hit a home run. I, on the other hand, will probably hit into a game-ending double play.
