There Goes The Championship

I was in the Araneta Coliseum yesterday for Ateneo's win over the UP Maroons. The Blue Eagles are now unbeaten in four games but the prospects for rest of the tournament look bleak as main man Larry Fonacier suffered a season-ending injury.

I will end this post here. Puro mura na kasi ang naiisip ko.

Ateneo beat UST yesterday. My team is on a winning streak! I didn't go to the Cuneta Astrodome because of an interview in Makati. But it turned out to be a good day. While the Blue Eagles were beating the crap out of the Tigers, I was dazzling the interviewer with my brilliance, he he. I walked out with a job offer.

25 Going On 30

All this talk about marriage makes me feel so old! But I should be thankful they aren't talking about kids. Yet.

I had a scare at the RCBC Plaza earlier.

I was filling out an application form so I took out my SSS card from my wallet. Half an hour later, I was walking out the building when I realized I didn't have my wallet.

As I went back to the office where I left it, I prepared myself for the long walk from Makati to Marikina if I didn't find my wallet. Imagine my happiness when the company guard said he had it. Apparently, a girl found my wallet and turned it in.

Someone said to think of it as a restoration of my faith in the goodness of man. Or woman, to be exact. Good point. Basta ang alam ko, labs pa rin ako ni Papa Jesus.

My boardmates and I watched the Ateneo-La Salle game at the Araneta Coliseum yesterday. We made do with bleacher tickets but it was worth it—Ateneo won! La Salle led by 15 in the third quarter and by 9 entering the fourth, but the Blue Eagles eked out a three-point win. I cheered so loud my voice returned only after a few hours. What a great game. I gave Syd two tickets but he showed up wearing green (even though he went to UST for college). As we couldn't sit in the same section without one of us suffering grave bodily harm, we trash-texted instead. And I had the last laugh!

On The Job Front*

I found a job opening for a copywriter but the workplace is in Cebu. Too bad. It's too soon for me to relocate at the moment.

I've always said that instead of buying a small island in the Pacific, I would move to Cebu when I retire. That city is bee-yoo-tee-ful. I fell in love with it when we went there for the 1999 Ad Congress.

And oh, the ladies there aren't bad.

Coming Soon

This blog has been inactive for a couple of weeks. My bad. But I've been writing, using the archaic pen-on-paper method. Some may yet end up here when I finally find the time. Nakakatamad, e.
